  • Weight: 4.75 lbs, Diameter: 8.25", Depth: 4.125", Cutout size: 6.75"

* Required Fields

To replace Oxford 8EV, vintage Chicago Jensen P8R, P8Q, C8R, and other 8" applications.

8", 11oz AlNiCo plug magnet, 20 watts, 1-1/4" voice coil, smooth cone.

Warm, crunchy, early breakup, compressed/fattened at high volume. Louder than the 8A100 due to the larger magnet and voice coil. Will not fit in tweed, or early BF Champs, (but WILL fit in Weber and Mojo 5F1 cabs) - The narrow basket will fit into 70's SF Champs, and might fit in other tight-fitting combo amps - some amps can be tricky.

Technical Details

Ted Weber Speakers are built with tighter, more concentric voice coil gaps, and lower carbon, machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger, more controlled tone at all volumes, particularly in the low end at high volumes.

 Ted Weber Speakers are hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to your speaker.  We build them one at a time, on a table - not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality speaker.  Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

Another Gem from Weber

Another Gem from Weber

I put this one into my Champ clone I built. It is super clear and warm and crunchy all at the same time and doesn't have the harshness of a ceramic, it sounds smooth and in control and gives the 5f1 circuit its best voice in my opinion. The Signature Weber works well too, but this one has more bottom and is just slightly better overall to me, both are excellent values and are like all Weber Speakers.....Awesome!
