For replacement of vintage Chicago Jensen P8R, P8Q, C8R, and other 8″ applications where a lot more low end and overall punch is desired.

8″, 40oz AlNiCo ring magnet, 25 watts, 1-1/2″ voice coil, ribbed cone.

Big, strong, well controlled low end. Detailed, later breaker. Very loud and aggressive with a lot of punch and dynamics for an 8″ speaker. Compresses/fattens at higher volumes. Will not fit in tweed, or early BF Champs, (but WILL fit in Weber and Mojo 5F1 cabs) – The narrow basket will fit into 70’s SF Champs, and might fit in other tight-fitting combo amps – some amps can be tricky.

Ted Weber Speakers are built with tighter, more concentric voice coil gaps, and lower carbon, machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger, more controlled tone at all volumes, particularly in the low end at high volumes.

Ted Weber Speakers are hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to your speaker.  We build them one at a time, on a table – not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality speaker.  Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

As much as I love the 8A125T…
The 8A150 is even better in my 1966 BFVC!
It just gives you more of everything!…headroom, bass, control, etc. Yes it is a little darker (in a good way!) than 8A125T but you can just dial up the treble knob on the VC for more sparkle. Guitars straight in sound pure vintage and toneful, you don’t even miss not having reverb!!!…add your favorite pedal board and it becomes a mini Twin and will cover any tone or genre and you can gig a small club with it now no problem!

I call this speaker “The Gentleman”. It is refined and delivers beyond what one could ask and does it in a classy way. Put this in a 4×8 cab I built with a 8F150 (for ‘thump’ and economics) a 8A150 and two Blue Pups. The alnicos dominate with that special something alnicos have and the 8F150 sits in the bottom next to the 8A150 adding its own Weber goodness.

Some people prefer ceramics and this speaker is the best in this category/size.

    Articulate and commanding.
