High power 12″ Ceramic speaker for amps where reducing treble response is desired. Big full tone, strong low end, emphasized mids, smooth and rolled-off treble. Great with clean all the way to high gain. Hemp’s longer fibers give treble notes a sub-harmonic richness that warms the sound. Punchier, with more headroom than the AlNiCo version.

12″, 60oz Ceramic magnet, 80 watt, 2″ voice coil, hemp cone.

Custom colors available. If you choose the custom color option, please note what you want in the comments. Follow us on social media to see what we can do!

Ted Weber Speakers are built with tighter, more concentric voice coil gaps, and lower carbon, machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger, more controlled tone at all volumes, particularly in the low end at high volumes.

Ted Weber Speakers are hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to your speaker.  We build them one at a time, on a table – not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality speaker.  Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

I am a user of a Fender re-issue ’65 Deluxe Reverb, and it has been my main gigging amp over the past 4 years since I acquired it.

I have put a number of speakers into this combo:

    Stock Fender Eminence
    Celestion V30
    Eminence Texas Heat
    Eminence Cannabis Rex
    Jensen Mod 70

My main issue was ice-pick highs, regardless of guitar, even humbuckers. I did the Robrob mods to enable me to use the Normal channel with reverb. I also felt that with any of the above-mentioned speakers, the amp was not giving me enough headroom for small club volumes. Having bought a number of Weber speakers in the past, I went on the hunt and decided to take a chance on this speaker.

Having received the Ceramic Amsterdam over the past week and finally getting to install it, I can safely say that my search for the right speaker for this Fender ’65 DRRI is now over. I requested for the team to break in the speaker before shipping it out, and I am so glad I did; I love how the speaker now allows this amp to retain clarity, but reduce the shrillness of the amp’s top end like no other speaker can.

Gigging volumes are now back on the menu, and my pedals are much happier having a nice clean pedal platform to push sound through. For reference, using the Texas Heat (150-watt, 8 ohms) or the Cannabis Rex (50-watts, 8 ohms) the max clean sound was just before the volume dial hit 4. I was only just peeking through the drummer and bass player in the mix.

Now, I can attain the same volume with the dial at 3, and with loads of headroom to spare.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the Weber team for putting such a fantastic piece of gear together. I’ve been using Weber speakers since 2016, and I’m never looking elsewhere again. Cheers!
