Same cone, coil, and other parts as the ceramic CTS 10″ used in Super Reverbs and other amps in the mid 60’s and later.

10″, 20oz ceramic magnet, 8 ohms, 25 watts, 1-1/2″ voice coil with paper former and softened, aged, seamed cone. Light Dope standard

Brighter, with a little punch and a smooth distortion tone. The lower sensitivity of this speaker allows more overdrive and distortion from the amp at lower volumes. The breakup is later and relatively smooth. The paper voice coil is only available in 8 ohms.

Ted Weber Speakers are built with tighter, more concentric voice coil gaps, and lower carbon, machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger, more controlled tone at all volumes, particularly in the low end at high volumes.

Ted Weber Speakers are hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to your speaker.  We build them one at a time, on a table – not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality speaker.  Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

My Weber CTC10 speaker arrived very quickly after ordering and I am very pleased with the overall build quality and performance. It has a nice, balanced tone that is not too bright or bass-heavy and feels right at home in my silverface Princeton. It is quieter than some of the more efficient speakers with larger magnets from Weber that I’ve tried, but this is what I was looking for, as I wanted to get overdrive from my amp at a reasonable volume.
