Z-Matcher 100w Impedance Matcher

5.5lb (2.49Kg) 7.125″ (18.10cm) wide, 7.25″ (18.42cm) deep, 3-1/2″ (8.89cm) high.

$171.00

The Z-Matcher allows you to match the output impedance of your amp to impedances of speakers and cabinets that are not the same as your amp output impedance. Matches 2, 2.6, 4, 5.3, 8, and 16 ohms amplifiers to 2, 2.6, 4, 5.3, 8, and 16 ohms speaker systems. Includes an extra output jack (parallel) and a balanced and unbalanced line out with a level adjustment.

The Z-Matcher is not a dummy load – it only matches impedance, so you will need to have a load connected to your amp (usually the speaker cab is the load, but for dummy load purposes you will want to look at our attenuators, which can all be used as dummy loads.)

This item is hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to its construction.  We build them one at a time, on a table – not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality product.  Please allow at least 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

This unit is rated for 100w, which means you can use any amp up to 100 watts.

The Extra Output is wired in parallel to the main output.  You will need to follow the rules of parallel speaker systems, and this means that you will have to consider the impedance of the speakers/cabinets if you do want to use both outputs.  For example, if you have two 8 ohm cabinets: one 8 ohm cabinet plugged into the main output, and one 8 ohm cabinet plugged into the extra output.  This gives you a total impedance of 4 ohms, so you need to set the output impedance on the Z-matcher to 4 ohms.

The Z-matcher is a passive device that requires no AC power, and also does not color or affect your tone in any way.

After read some good things in the net, purchased one, awesome support from Weber people.
They send my unit very well packaged (i live outside USA).
The unit is awesome , i have a 59 bassman with blue eminence speakers at 2ohms and usedit with all my other amps (2 champs, deluxe, bugera v5, vox ac4, vox pathfinder v1, blackstar ht1, Marshall DSL5 and Marshall Super Lead flawlessly. My micro orange and Marshall Ms2 sounds awesome too.
Love my unit! Thanks Weber people keep making great stuff! I have a mini mass and Rocks too!

I bought this so I could use my Vintage amps with a reactive load for silent recording and late night jamming. The amps want to see various loads from 2 ohms to 8. Most attenuators and load boxes either have 4, 8 and 16 ohm selectable settings or they’re set at a specific impedance. The Z-Matcher is the ultimate solution. Any amp can paired with any cabinet etc.

The design of this is well thought out and the quality is awesome. It has some weight to it, the switches feel solid, the choices of impedance are perfect and it works a charm.

I ordered this on a Tuesday and is was at my doorstep by Saturday and it was packed incredibly well. I am completely blown away by your customer service, turn around time and communication. You guys are truly a pleasure to deal with.

The Z-Matcher is a game changer for the player who likes to experiment. It totally removes the limitation of trying an amp with one or two output options to any cabinet. Super Reverb to a 16 ohm 4×12… done. AC30TB to a 4 ohm 2×10… done. And anything in between! The Z-Matcher is simple to use, doesn’t suck tone, and needs no power. I wouldn’t be without one in the music room!
