For mid/late 50’s tweed Deluxe, replaces Chicago Jensen P12R and other mid/late 50’s seamed/ribbed cone AlNiCo 12’s.

12″, 7oz AlNiCo magnet, 15 watt, 1″ voice coil, ribbed cone, curved seam.

Brighter, smoother, compressed at high volume, vintage style cone with the curved seam and inverted ribs, same as the late 50’s Chicago Jensen P12R, P12Q, P12N, etc. Not recommended for use with harmonica

The 12A125A seems to get the highest online recommendations and praises for 5E3 tweed Deluxe amps, but this is my favorite, and I’ve tried both side-by-side. The reason people don’t use the 12A100T often is because they haven’t tried it and not as many players know what it sounds like, so there has been less online talk about this one.

For authentic, period-correct sounds in your tweed Deluxe, ***this*** is the speaker to get! It sounds more like a vintage Jensen P12Q (that’s correct, “Q”) than the 12A125A, once well broken-in. It breathes so much better than the 12A125A and has a beautiful articulation to it.

You will not regret getting one of these for your 5E3, I plan on ordering one for my 1×12 Champ as soon as they’re available again!
